Flex 2.0.1 is here..

Adobe is just announcing the release of Flex 2.0.1 and everyone around here seems really excited about that! (I agree, Flex is really an impressive software)

Other than including the already released asdoc tool into the installer, this new release can now manage CSS at runtime, support the FlashType encoding (so useful in Flash 8) and includes the  new mx.modules (for the list of complete changes and fixes I suggest to read the release notes).
Moreover it seems that this new release is ready for Apollo (when it finally will be available)..
But the big news is the Mac OSX support for Flex2.

So, now I should ask: "where is the Linux support"?
Eclipse is cross-platform, Flex is based on eclipse (1+1?)... we've Flex on both Windows and OS(ni)X, We already have the flash9 player for linux (I tested it on my ubuntu and seems to quite stable and faster enough).. so will we get a chance?

P.S. Here you can read the official Flex 2.0.1 release notes.

Any chance you could post the compiled swc's for the above two components (with the updates for Flex 2.0.1)? I'm having some trouble figuring out how to compile them. Thanks for all the great help so far!
Mac OSX support for Flex2,great! Mac is cool, but not such easy to use!
thanks. i figured out i was missing the extended checkbox component (sometimes i'm kind of slow ;-) i'll give that batch file a try. thanks again.
This is the build.bat I'm using (don't execute it from Flex because it seems there's a bug executing external commands, it change the active path):
compc -source-path+=. -source-path+="..\checkbox3state" -output "TreeCheckBox.swc" -namespace mxml-manifest.xml -include-namespaces -include-file assets.swf ./assets/assets.swf

and get the checkbox source from here (create a new flex project checkbox3state):

anyway, it seems that you can compile the swc also removing the namespaces compiler options
trying to compile this component but i keep getting this error: "Error: could not find source for class org.sepy.ui:CheckBoxExtended in namespace" any ideas? thanks.
great. i see you updated for 2.01. thanks! maybe you want to stick this up on RIAforge?
ok but your component is distributed as a swc. how would i go about fixing that? thanks.
Yes I noticed that. You should change every occurrence of layoutManager into LayoutManager.getInstance() and import it from mx.managers
yeah but 2.01 seems to have broken your super cool tree checkbox :-(
