I made this for a friend of mine.. it's an image loader which load images reading an xml file. Inside the xml file you can define the pause between images transition and the transition type.
Actually there are 9 transition function inside the component, but it's really easy to add more.. just open the imageLoader movieclip and add more transition() functions...
the xml file, included also in the zip, is like this: http://www.sephiroth.it/test/images/image.fader/images.xml

I've made also a Component V2 of this, using builtin transition classes: http://www.sephiroth.it/test/images/image.fader2/example.html
the .xmp file is available here: http://www.sephiroth.it/test/images/image.fader2/ImageFader2.mxp

hi alessandro,
first, thanks so much for your help to us just getting started - i hope to some day return the favor. i have a question regarding the image fader - if i adjust the time the effect on each image (slower) and use the xml file to submit a PAUSE value, some pc's differ (maybe in processing) and sometimes the xml time comes before the effect is finished. can i pass a value from the xml file that will not call the next image until the previous effect is finished? i hope i didn't confuse anyone...
again, many thanks for your great work and advise.

hi alessandro and everyone else..

I've been having similar problems to others. This works great on my IIS Webserver, but when I post it up on an Apache Webserver, just a blank screen... Can't work out why it works on some servers an not others

Please can someone shed some light?

(It would be good, as others have said if each image could be linked to a url).

Cheers

Hi,
Great component btw. I noticed a serious problem with Mozilla based browsers. It seems that Flash will continuously try and load all the images resulting in huge bandwidth usage. This does not happen in IE. I was wondering if you had any ideas why this might be happening ?

Hi there! The image Loader is a great thing and very easy to use. Just one question: Any possibility to stop the running movie (images). I loaded my images Fader on a dummy MC on a main movie and tried to stop it with:
on (release) {
dummy.stop();
}
That doesn't work. Any ideas?
Nice greets!

Hey guys nice flashing, just one question how do you change the fade from white to another colour in the actionscript? When I've tried the result "flashes" between blue and yellow?

Thanks :D
