Thank you for the component. It is exactly what I was looking for and made me look good in front of my manager :) I was facing a small issue using it, and reporting it just in case someone else is stuck on the same problem. The sample sets the openItems property. I didn't want to open the tree by default, though, so I removed it. If you do that, you will see that the values are not updated when the user clicks on an item. I ran into this issue, and put the following fix In onItemCheck function, add the line menuTree.openItems = event.item; at the end. Once again, thanks for the component.

I have a long list of checkboxes in this component. If I check the one of the checkboxes toward the bottom, it makes the list 'jump' back to the top. Kinda like a href anchor. Anyone else see/fix this?

I have a little modification to this TreeCheckBox component. Instead of handling 'itemClick" outside of component, why dont we do it inside? I did it and its working fine. BTW vary nice component.

I'm trying to build a tabnavigator dynamically with the treecheckbox control as a child. When I try to add the event listener of he tiem checkedI get an error: 1119:Access of possibly undefined property through a reference with static type class. I've tried using the TreeEvent.ITEM_Check. Hope someone can help.

HI, I have been using the tree checkbox component for a while now and it is great. When I deploy the component the CheckBox.png image doesn't seem to be embedded into the application correctly and I get the folder hirachy only with the CheckBox.png in it. Is there a way to resovle this so that it is embedded into application at compile time? Thank T

Hi.. Thanks for the component!! Can someone point me in the right direction on how to fix the vertical scrollong issue? If I scroll the tree vertically up and down then the itemrenderer gets "confused" and starts to draw stuff funny. Sometimes you see a checkbox and sometimes not..

For those wondering, don't try the selectedItems property to get the checked items. After browsing the source I discovered that the way you access the checked items is by doing a quick e4x on your data source to look for the "checked" property which will be set to 0,1 or 2 (representing the third sort-of checked state). The field that is set can be controlled by setting the checkField property, but already defaults to "checked".

I found a bug in the component that happens when you are scrolling or when you change the data in the dataProvider at runtime. Checkboxes on rows just disappear. It seems to be random but when it redraws a row, sometimes it draws it without a checkbox. It's just not there. Don't know why.

Superb component. There is just one annoying bug that I haven't managed to fix: when the tree is bigger and requires a vertical scrollbar, when you check/uncheck an item at the bottom of the tree, the tree scrolls back to the top. Do you have any idea where this comes from or how to fix it?

Its really cool. I am searching for the a decision tree since days now. Only functionality I find missing is somthing like a SUBMIT button. So that whatever are the checked components in the menu tree can be copied to another window. Can we have a functionality like this in this code.

Hi, I'm trying to use this component in Flash CS3. I put it in my components directory, and am able to drop it into a project. So far, so good. However, since I can't open the included example.mxml file, I can't see how to use it. Can I use Flash instead of Flex, or is this impossible? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, it looks cool.
